East Bayou Baptist

Lafayette, LA – In October of 2002, Hurricane Lily swept through Lafayette, Louisiana, peeling back the roof of the East Bayou Baptist Ministries Building and causing major damage. MG&A was already working on a Master Plan for the approximate 13-acre campus when this occurred. Through insurance proceeds, MG&A and the church were able to include in its scope the complete renovation of the 33,000 sf damaged building for education and ministry space. MG&A also provided design and construction services on a new 46,000 sf multi-purpose facility. This facility includes a 1,000 seat multi-use auditorium for worship services, concerts, and banquets as well as a large commons area for fellowship/circulation, a large preschool facility, administrative offices and new parking.
