Scott Gurosky
President
Growing up in Birmingham, Alabama, Scott Gurosky attended Auburn University on a football scholarship where he played football and baseball, while earning a bachelor’s degree in Building Science. After graduating from Auburn in 1991, Scott was hired as a field engineer for Harbert International, Inc. by Wayne Myrick, who would later become his business partner in 1994. Initially serving the roles of project Superintendent and Project Manager, Scott became President of the company in 1997. In 1998, Scott received the “Rising Star Award”, sponsored by the Birmingham Business Journal’s “Best in Business” awards.
Scott has been a member of Shades Mountain Baptist Church in Vestavia Hills, Alabama, since 1983, where he has served as Deacon and has been actively involved in teaching and leadership in the student ministry with his wife, Kelly. Scott has served on the Foundation Board at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky as well as World Link International Ministries. In 2008, Scott co-founded Doulos Partners, a ministry to support and partner with highly effective church planting ministries across the globe. Scott and Kelly have two boys, Davis and Drew. They live in Vestavia Hills, Alabama.
Paul Head
CFO
Paul Head began his career at Myrick, Gurosky & Associates in 1998. As the CFO of MG+A, he is responsible for all accounting and finance functions, along with Risk Management, Safety, and Warranty issues.
Paul attended Ole Miss on a football scholarship and graduated with a master’s in accounting in 1997. While at Ole Miss, Paul was a four-year letterman in football, as well as a three-time SEC Academic Honor Roll football team member. In 2003, Paul was the recipient of the Regions Bank “Small Business Salute” award. He currently serves on the Vestavia Hills City Council. Paul and his wife Leigh Anne are members of Shades Mountain Baptist Church. They have two sons, Chance and John Paul and a daughter, Ryanne.
Alan Dobbins
Project Development
Alan Dobbins heads up MG+A’s project development and marketing efforts. He works with clients through the project development phase assisting in space planning and programming, financial analyses, master planning and the coordination of project financing.
Alan attended Samford University on a baseball scholarship and graduated from Samford’s Business School. Before joining MG+A’s team in 2000, he spent four years in Corporate Banking. Alan and his wife Jessica live in Homewood and are actively involved at Haven Field Community Church where he serves as an Elder. Alan and Jessica have a daughter, Sydney and two sons, Will and Daniel.
Kaleb Reid
Pre-Construction
As the pre-construction manager for MG+A, Kaleb Reid is involved in each project from the very beginning. Kaleb plays a vital role in managing and directing project design to ensure budgets, timelines and client expectations are met. His goal is to ensure efficient project communication throughout the design and pre-construction process.
Kaleb attended Auburn University where he received his BS in Building Science. While at Auburn, he founded and served as president of the Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA) Auburn University Student Chapter. Kaleb and his wife Brittany live in Hoover with their three children Max, Ford and Wells. Kaleb serves on the Men’s Leadership Team at Hunter Street Baptist Church where he has been a member for over 25 years.
Mike Evans
Senior Project Manager
As Senior Project Manager, Mike Evans is responsible for directing and managing the construction process for projects. This includes managing the transition from the design/budgeting process to the procurement, scheduling and construction implementation phases thru project completion.
Mike attended the University of Alabama where he received his BS in Civil Engineering. He has been a member of the armed forces and served in the Army Corp of Engineers before starting with MG+A in 1998. Mike is married to Melinda and they have three children, Will, Ann Michael, and Emma. Mike and his family are actively involved at Riverchase United Methodist.
Donald Myrick
Senior Project Manager
Donald Myrick is a Senior Project Manager overseeing the construction process and managing personnel for many of MG+A’s projects. Donald began his career as an equipment operator in MG+A’s first year of operation – 1993 – and worked his way through various roles in the company including project superintendent, project coordinator and ultimately project manager.
Donald is married to Ivey and has a daughter, Campbell and son, Miller. The Myrick’s live in Vestavia Hills and are members of Hunter Street Baptist Church.
Hamilton Lunsford
Senior Project Manager
Hamilton Lunsford joined MG+A in 2014 after graduating from Mississippi State University with a degree in Building Construction Science. As Senior Project Manager, Hamilton is the liaison between owners, the design team, contractors and MG+A personnel. He manages projects from the late stages of design through closeout to stay within budget and schedule.
Hamilton grew up in Mississippi. Since joining MG+A, he has traveled around the Southeast working on projects in Tennessee, Florida, Georgia, Texas and Alabama. Hamilton has recently established residence in Hoover, Alabama.
Wayne Myrick
Founder
At the close of 2019, MG+A began a new chapter in the future of the company following the retirement of Wayne Myrick. Wayne founded the company in 1993 and served as CEO for nearly 27 years.
Wayne began his construction career in the late 1960’s working general construction before becoming a self-employed residential contractor from 1973 to 1977. After serving as Superintendent and Project Manager for various Birmingham, Alabama contractors, he worked for a decade with Harbert Construction International, rising from superintendent to Vice President of Construction.
Wayne’s passion for helping churches maximize their ministry impact became a defining mission for MG+A. Under Wayne’s direction, MG+A has become a leader in the church design and construction industry through their involvement in over 300 church-related projects.
