Bayou Church

  • In October, 2002 Hurricane Lily swept through Lafayette, Louisiana, peeling back the roof of the Bayou Church Ministries Building and causing major damage. MG+A was already working on a Master Plan for the approximate 13-acre campus when this occurred.
  • Phase 1 included the complete renovation of the 33,000 sf damaged building for education and ministry space.
  • New facilities included a 46,000 sf multi-purpose facility addition with a 1,000 seat multi-use auditorium for worship services, concerts, and banquets.
  • The new addition also included a large commons area for fellowship/circulation, a preschool facility, administrative offices and new parking.
