Scott Gurosky

Under Scott’s leadership, MG+A has become a leader in the church design and construction industry.

As a co-founder of MG+A, Scott Gurosky served as President of the company for more than 28 years leading the day-to-day operations of the business. Under Scott’s leadership, MG+A has become a leader in the church design and construction industry through its involvement in over 300 church-related projects. After transitioning the firm’s leadership in 2022, Gurosky continues to play an active role in carrying out the mission of MG+A collaborating with clients and design teams during the planning process.

Growing up in Birmingham, Alabama, Scott Gurosky attended Auburn University on a football scholarship where he played football and baseball while earning a bachelor’s degree in Building Science. After graduating from Auburn in 1991, Scott was hired as a field engineer for Harbert International, Inc. by Wayne Myrick, who would later become his business partner in 1994. Initially serving the roles of project Superintendent and Project Manager, Scott became President of the company in 1997. In 1998, Scott received the “Rising Star Award”, sponsored by the Birmingham Business Journal’s “Best in Business” awards.

Scott has been a member of Shades Mountain Baptist Church in Vestavia Hills, Alabama, since 1983, where he has served as Deacon and has been actively involved in teaching and leadership in the student ministry with his wife, Kelly. Scott has served on the Foundation Board at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky as well as World Link International Ministries. In 2008, Scott co-founded Doulos Partners, a ministry to support and partner with highly effective church planting ministries across the globe. In 2021 Scott was appointed as a Lifetime Board Member on Doulos Partner’s Board of Directors. Scott is also actively involved with Burgess Ministries where he serves as a keynote speaker for select events. Scott and Kelly’s family consists of their sons, Drew and Davis and Davis’ wife Caylea.
